You will start your unbelievable tour from Porta Marina, the main entrance, that will bring you in Via Marina, lilired by fountains, buildings and private homes. In these beautiful homes you will discover the Opulentia of the richest families of Pompeii.
You will then visit the commerce and political life as well as the Forum and the Terma Suburbane and Sabiane.
Lastly, you will visit the famous Villa dei Misteri, where are conserved the highest artistic frescos.
More about Pompeii
Pompeii, with four fifths of its urban area already excavated, is the most famous and evocative archaeological site in the world. The eruption of the Vesuvius in 79 AD buried the city in a 6-7 meter thick layer of ash and cinder. Most of its inhabitants, escaping from their homes, found their deaths on the shore. The remaining few, in a vain attempt to save themselves in their basements, died asphyxiated: the moulds of their agonized bodies, obtained by pouring plaster into the cavities left by the bodies in the layers of ash, give moving testimony to the tragedy.
