Half-day wine tasting in a Chianti Castle

Our special Chianti wine tasting, our best seller, is recommended to people who want to enjoy a selection of great tuscan wines in the heart of the Chianti region. The experience includes the visit of a medieval castle included the antient cellars and a balsamic vinegar tasting. The tour will be followed by a 3 course traditional lunch, wine tasting of 5 best wines, olive oil and cheese tasting in a medieval atmosphere.
Alternatively you can enjoy a full lunch in a typical winery also in the heart of the Chianti region with a superb owner who will let you taste his 13 kind of wines produced in his lands. After the wine tasting experience you could also enjoy a stop in San Gimignano one of the world's Heritage site.

More about the Chianti Classico DOCG: Chianti classico, the oldest area of origin of Chianti wine, covers nine municipals districts, between Florence and Siena. Its production, under the symbol of the Black Cockerel, is strictly regulated: only certain vines, Sangiovese grapes (75% - 100%), Cannaiolo Nero (maximum 10%), and other specified grapes maybe used. The wine is a bright ruby red with time. Vinous, with a hint of violets and distinctively subtle aroma when aged: smooth, dry, palatable, slightly tannic taste, that becomes velvelty with ageing. Minimum alcohol content 12°. The Riserva version (12,5°) is aged in casks and further aged in bottles. Asa young wine, it goes well with grilled red meat; when aged, excellent with game and robust flavors.
