Our special wine tasting will take place in a local winery Montalcino (great way to begin the day!). You will visit the cellars and see the wine barrels while taught about the history of the Brunello di Montalcino wine, considered the best wine in the world (for the quality/price combination) in 2001. There you will have a typical Tuscan light lunch with a number of traditional products such as Extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, Brunello di Montalcino, Super Tuscan wine, grappa and Brandy for you to grasp a glimpse of what has made this region so renowned and fascinating.
We have put together a list of things to do in the area so that after your experience at the winery, you will be able to continue enjoying the 'paradise' surronding the property before leading back to your accommodation.

More about the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG
Brunello was created in the mid 19th century by an oenologist, Ferruccio Biondi Santi, who decided to make wine with Sangiovese grapes alone, without the traditional mix using other grape varieties as well.
Maceration and ageing in oak casks produces a strong, velvety wine, of exceptional character. Today Brunello is known worldwide as one of Italy’s top wines, its legendary reputation based on its outstanding quality. The wine is ruby red tending towards burgundy in color. Distinctive, intense, ethereal aroma, with hints of underbrush, scented wood and berry fruits; dry, warm, slightly tannic, robust, smooth, and persistent taste. Minimum alcohol content 12,5°. Brunello is aged for 5 years and Brunello Riserva for six. The classic choice of wine for read meat, roast meat and game.
